Description
Non-personal services for the inspection, testing, recharging, maintenance, repairing, and painting of fire suppression systems. Systems consist of Dry and Wet Chemical Fire Extinguishing Systems, Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers, Halon 1301 Fire Extinguisher Systems, and Portable Fire Extinguishers, and are located in various buildings at Lackland AFB (LAFB), Lackland Training Annex (LTA), Kelly Field Annex (KFA), and Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC). The contract will be for a period of 12 months, starting 01 Oct 06 through 30 Sep 07 or date of award, whichever is later. This solicitation is 100 percent set-aside for small businesses. The applicable size standard is $6.5 million average annual revenue for the previous three years. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561990. Wage Determination Number 1994-2521, revision 30 (05/23/2006) applies to this solicitation. All interested parties must be Central Contractor Registered (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.202-7004 and 252.232-7009. CCR can be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or www.ccr.gov. CCR must be obtained prior to award. Contractor must possess a Certificate of Registration issued by the Texas State Board of Insurance, as prescribed in Texas Insurance Code Article 5.43-1 Fire Extinguishers and 28 TAC 34.500 the Fire Extinguisher Rules, prior to start of contract performance. Before engaging in contract performance, the contractor must have all applicable licenses, permits, and certifications required to perform work on fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems as required by NFPA standards, local, state, federal and safety laws and regulations. The contractor is required to submit a copy of the Certificate of Registration and each required license to the Contracting Officer prior to contract performance. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
