Description
The ATCOTS program office has, in accordance with the Market Survey released on June 16, 2006, reviewed the White Papers submitted by interested vendors. The Program Office found the information in the White Papers to be very helpful and was pleased to confirm that effective competition is available for its initiative. The Program Office also determined that no individual meetings with vendors based on the White Paper submissions are required at this time. However, in order to continue the helpful dialogue and ensure that the forthcoming Screening Information Request (SIR)/Request for Offer (RFO) provides the clearest possible understanding of the FAA's objectives, the FAA would appreciate further written submissions addressing the questions in Attachment 1: Follow-up Questions for Vendor Community. This announcement is a Market Survey/Request for Information. This announcement IS NOT A DOWN-SELECT OR QUALIFICATION SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL of any kind. The applicable NAICS is 611430: Professional Development Training. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any submission received from industry in response to this Market Survey. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense. Excessively elaborate responses containing marketing materials are not desired and may be discarded without review. One, some, all, or none of the respondents to the Market Survey/Request For Information may be requested to provide additional information at the option of the Government. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise for future business with the FAA. Information obtained from Attachment 1 will be used to support the development of an acquisition strategy for air traffic controller training. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and limited to a total of five pages. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. However, information from vendor submissions may be used in future acquisition activities on a non-vendor specific basis. Responses must be received no later than noon (ET) on September 14, 2006. Submissions should be sent via e-mail to the Contracting Officer at nathan.tash@faa.gov.
