Description
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is searching for a graphic designer to create a new, more modern look for the agency's website (www.cbo.gov). Professional graphic designers who wish to be considered in this endeavor should submit the following items to webdesigns@cbo.gov by close of business on Sunday, September 17, 2006: (1) A minimum of two images from three different web designs. Images must be jpeg format at 72 or higher dpi, and sized at 800 x 600 pixels while maintaining the original aspect ratio. (2) CV or resume with current contact information (PDF, RTF, or MS Word). (3) Hourly rate. * NOTE: Images and documents will be viewed on an IBM compatible system running Windows. CBO expects to select up to five designers, each of whom would then be requested to create three unique sets of web designs for CBO's website. Each set will include one homepage and one content page, for a total of six pages. CBO will compensate each designer a maximum of $2,000 for the designs which become the property of CBO. Designs must be submitted as Adobe Photoshop 6.0 (or later) files. Files must contain all separate layers and objects--flattened images will not be accepted. Designers must also identify any copyright, license, or usage fees and associated costs, which should not exceed $500. CBO will then evaluate all submitted designs and may choose one to use as the basis for a redesign of the agency's website. The designer whose work is selected may be requested to provide consultation and design work related to their design. In-house CBO staff will perform implementation of the new design, including all HTML and back-end programming for the site.
