Description

This RFP is for the continued Outreach, Admissions for the State(s) of Mississippi. Job Corps is a National residential and non-residential training and employment program administered by the Department of Labor to address the multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth ages 16-24 years throughout the United States. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be a Performance Based contract for Outreach and Admissions. The contract will have a 2-year base period October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2008 plus three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options for one (1) year each. The RFP will be available on our Job Corps Acquisition page located on the World Wide Web at http://wdsc.doleta.gov/jobcorps/schedule.html and the federal Business Opportunity at http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about January 20, 2006. The arrival goals for the state of Mississippi are 1038 youth annually, 573 residential males and 465 residential females) and (0 non- residential males and 0 non-residential females). A Pre-proposal Conference is scheduled for January 26, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street SW, Room 8M40, Atlanta, GA 30303, (404) 562-2372. It is recommended that potential offerors download the RFP from the Federal Business Opportunity website or our Website listed above prior to attending the Pre-proposal. All questions prior to and at the pre-proposal conference shall be submitted in writing. The successful contractor shall provide material, services, and all necessary personnel to operate a Job Corps Outreach and Admissions program to provide a comprehensive approach to ensure that sufficient numbers of disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 and 24 are enrolled in specified Job Corps Centers. Proposals in response to the RFP will consist of an Oral Presentation and a written submission as described in Section L of the RFP. All written proposal submissions shall be due no later than March 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. local time to the address listed in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-JAN-2006).
