Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking quotations for Tate Concore 1250 Access Flooring with Positile Holes for the National Computer Center (NCC) at headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. SPECIFICATIONS: Vendor shall supply 1200 square feet of Tate Concore 1250 Access Flooring as well as Sealbond 95 Pedestal Adhesive. This is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 321918; size standard is 500 employees. For non-manufacturers, suppliers must offer products manufactured by a small business and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 ? Acquisition of Commercial Items and Subpart 13.1 ? Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All shipments associated with the purchase order award shall be on an F.O.B. destination basis only. The resulting purchase order number shall appear on all boxes, containers and cartons. The time of delivery shall be no later than 120 calendar days from the date the contractor receives the purchase order award from the Government. It is anticipated that the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about August 29, 2006 under solicitation number SSA-RFQ-06-1799. The solicitation and any related documents for this procurement will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The flooring shall be Name Brand Only. Tate access flooring has always been utilized at SSA?s NCC. Other brands are not compatible with existing flooring and could not be used to create a safe environment. Tate Concore 1250 cement filled Positile are manufactured with four (4) holes that are used with exclusive carpet tiles that lock into place using buttons. This eliminates the need for using adhesives to install carpet tiles. Tate Concore 1250 cement filled Positile is also used with a heavy duty bolted stringer system also made with heavy duty pedestal heads. Concore 1250 also has the convenience of bolting down to the stringer system eliminating the need for special security screening in offices. This is essential in the NCC's high security environment.
