Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to award a sole source contract to COMPUNETIXS Incorporated for the procurement of (8) T-1 Keysets; (2) KPI-24 Type 1 Keysets; (2) KPI-24 Type 2 Keysets and associated accessories for the US Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF). The justification for awarding this contract as sole source is that COMPUNETIX products are proprietary equipment and the software associated with the equipment can only be maintained by COMPUNETIX. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Note 22 applies, and is modified to read "???all proposals received within 15 days". A sole source solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be transmitted to the sole source contractor by means other than posting it on the SPAWAR ECC Business Opportunities web site.
