Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to award a purchase order to PTS Data Center Solutions, Inc., 568 Commerce Street, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey 07417, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through request for quotation number EA133W-06-RQ-0878. Only one responsible source is available to satisfy the agency requirement to provide APC battery monitoring UPS systems (power availability Equipment and Services). PTS Data Center Solutions is the only known source that will test batteries while using the charging method. The APC unit provided by PTS Data Center Solutions is the only device that will work on the RDA (Powerware unit) and WFO UPS (Mitsubishi unit). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All information received by 12:00 p.m., EST, 09/08/2006 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
