Thanks, //SIGNED// TARA L CREEKMORE, AMN, USAF Contracting Specialist 62d CONS/LGCB COMM 253-982-2399 FAX 253-982-3656 tara.creekmore@mcchord.af.mil 1. Question 1: Section 2.1.1 shows 2 wireless lapel mics, and 6 handheld wireless mics, but only 6 receivers. Are the lapel mics and two of the handheld mics to share a receiver? If so, they cannot be used at the same time ? only a total of 6 wireless mics can be used at once. The system will require two additional receivers to use all 8 mics at once. Answer 1: Should read as 7 receivers with only 1 wireless lapel mic. 2. Question 2: Section 2.1.2 appears to be for the equipment rack, but it also has 4 monitor speakers there. Are these the stage monitors, to be installed at the stage, or are they to be used at the equipment rack area? If so, any specifications for these? The EV QRx112/75 specified in the next section can be used as a stage monitor. Answer 2: Yes they are to be installed on stage. Use of EV XW15 or similar. 3. Question 3: Section 2.1.2.1 has the EV QRx112/75 listed as 4 surround speakers, but they do not match or meet the specifications listed. Is there a different model speaker to be installed? Answer 3: The EV QRx112/75 is fine to be installed. 4. Question 4: Section 2.1.2.2 lists a subwoofer. The model that meets those specifications is a Klipsch KPT-684 ? except it is a dual 18? model. There is no model which meets the specifications in a single 18? K-47 woofer. OK to change to a dual sub model? Answer 4: Change is fine. 5. Question 5: 2.1.2.4 is for an audio/video receiver. There are already 3 amplifiers in the system. Is this to be used as the main amp for the 4 main speakers, with two of the three other amps used for the monitors, and the third used for the subwoofer? Please clarify the intended use of the power amplifiers. Answer 5: Yes, you are correct 6. Question 6: 2.1.2.5 lists an I.O. processor. The specifications appear to be for a discontinued EV model. The current model is not the same. We can meet or exceed the spec?s with a different make and model (Symetrix Sym-net). This OK? Also, at the bottom, it says to be capable of receiving 16 channel mixing board audio output from band. Is this a separate mixer from the 32x4 channel one requested in 2.1.2.7? Answer 6: Change is fine. Should be a 32 channel board. 7. Question 7: 2.1.2.5 Lists an I/O expander. The specifications are exactly the same as the I/O processor. Please clarify what type of expander this is - additional inputs, or additional outputs? Answer 7: Expander to meet the requirement for 32 channel board 8. Question 8: 2.2.6 The scaler/switcher specified is a Kramer VP-723DS or VP-724DS. Both have been discontinued. Replaced by VP-724xl, which has slightly different specifications. Functionality is the same, however. OK to use replacement? Answer 8: Change is fine. 9. Question 9: 2.2.8 Specifications are for a Kramer TP-100 transmitter. A better model would be the TP-104, which has enough CAT-5 outputs for the three projectors. Answer 9: Change is Fine 10. Question 10: 2.2.9 Specifications are exactly the same as 2.2.8. I assume a TP-200 receiver was wanted here, but there are three projectors. A better choice would be three TP-120 receivers. Answer 10: Change is Fine 11. Question 11: 2.2.12 What is Optical video out? Answer 11: Optical Video out is a typo 12. Question 12: On site, we had discussed the mixing board to be located at the operators station some distance away from the stage. Are the only input to this board to be the 6 wireless mics? What about any instruments at the stage? If hardwired connections from the stage are to be provided, how many are needed? Should they go into the walls, or a stage pocket? We also discussed an additional PC input, located in the front at the podium. Should we propose this as an add alt? Answer 12: 12 Hardwired connections through stage pocket. Propose the PC input. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (28-AUG-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
