- Description
- The Olympic National Forest, Olympia, Washington, intends to acquire by contract the re-roofing of four buildings at the Snider Work Center, 20 miles north of Forks, Washington. Contractor shall: (1) remove all existing roofing materials above the roof sheathing; (2) install government furnished cedar shingles; (3) replace all flashing at chimneys, eaves, rakes, all vertical surfaces, and vent pipes; and (4) report any rotted or damaged roofing underlayment or structure. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation, under FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, restricted to small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated price is between $25,000 and $100,000. The project is located at the Snider Work Center, 20 miles north of Forks, Washington, on Hwy. 101. The performance period is 60 calendar days. A payment bond, irrevocable letter of credit, or third party escrow agreement is required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to this solicitation. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. This solicitation will be available on or about AUG 30, 2006. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
