- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(i) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to repair/replace the facility water well system, due to failure and collapse of deep well undeground pump and well casing. Due to the emergent nature of the failed water system for the infrastucture and operations of the National Interagency Fire Center System, the Government is contracting with a local area contractor due to the urgent and compelling nature of this construction repair requirement. The local contractor source capable of satisfying the agency emergent water well replacement/repair requirement is Hiddleston Drilling and Pump Co, 1240 NW Beaman Street, Mountain Home, ID 83647-5190, who is to respond with with personnel, heavy equipment, and well drilling/installation/repair materials in meeting this emergency. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The estimated value of this simplified acquisition is less than $75,000.00. No Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued and no response will be made to letters or telephone requests for a copy of the solicitation. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but serves as a procurement notice to fulfill public posting requirements in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1). This requirement is restricted to small business and the NAICS code 237110 and SIC code 1781 apply.
