Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. Naval Undersea Warfare Center intends to acquire from Granite Power Technologies on a sole source basis (8) each Failsafe Power Supplies 102611 Rev. 01. Failsafe Power Supply is required to operate the Radio Frequency Distribution Antenna Control System on the SSBN class. Vicor is the original manufacturer Granite Power Technologies is a subsidiary of Vicor and is the only known source that can provide the Failsafe Power Supplies. Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized for this acquisition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-06-Q-5225. Although this is intended as a sole-source acquisition, any company that believes it has the capability to meet the Government's minimum specifications may submit a proposal which must contain technical and cost data to be reviewed by the Government. Offers must be received by 2:00 p.m. on September 11, 2006.
