- Restrictions: This is modification 0001 to subject combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement con stitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W91248-06-Q-0073 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-06, dated 08 June 05. NAICS is 541618; business size is $6.5M; acquisition is 100% setaside for Small Business Concerns. Description: Modification 0001 Closing date remains unchanged as: 28 Au gust 2006, 10:00 AM. Questions and answers to this solicitation follows: Question 1. Is this a GS/GM grade equivalent position and at what level/series would that position be anticipated to be posted, ie., GS- 11, 810/819? Answer: No. The Service Co ntract Act does not apply. Question 2. Is this position currently under contract? If so, who is the contractor and who currently is filling the position? Answer: Position is currently under contract; however, the incumbent contract is unknown, as cur rent contract was not processed by this office. Question 3. Numerous software packages were mentioned in the scope, is the Gov't using the latest versions of these packages, and are these packages Gov't furnished? Answer. These software packages will be Government furnished. Question 4. The scope outlines many tasks for additional services. Will the contractor be paid at an additional hourly rate over an above the 2080 hours, or will the contractor be expected to provide additional personnel? For exa mple, if the contractor is directed to work many hours on a privatization effort, then the base scope of services may not be performed without additional man-hours. Please advise. Answer. The Government is not anticipating that Task 1 through Task 6 wil l use the whole 2080 hours. Left over hours will be used to cover Task 7 but specifics will be provided on a case-by-case basis but will fall into the categories listed in Task 7. No additional hours or personnel are necessary. Question 5. Under Contra ctor furnished equipment, is there a more detailed list of the required equipment, i.e., type of temperature sensors, cell phone, computers, etc.? Answer. Computer, monitor, printer, cell phone will be required. Question 6. Is there a preference for WB E/MBE proposers? Answer. No. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
