- The U. S. Coast Guard seeks Interested Parties for Mooring Space and Associated Shore Infrastructure: The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking letters of interest from parties interested in providing long-term, build-to-suit lease options for industrial port facilities for U.S. Coast Guard vessels. The port facilities shall be located on navigable waterways within the following coastal states: Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and eastern Connecticut. The intention of this announcement is to identify parties (private and public) interested in potentially entering into a long-term build-to-suit lease arrangement with the U.S. Coast Guard to provide for the homeporting needs of several U.S. Coast Guard cutters. Actual requirements for the cutters will be developed over the next three (3) months. The optimal salient characteristics of the industrial port facilities are listed below. Those parties able to provide only a portion of the optimal characteristics are also encouraged to file letters of interest but specify their proffered capacity in relation to the below characteristics. Pier length: a base need of 1050 linear feet, with the potential of up to 1350 linear feet Utilities: electrical power (3-phase, 450V), telecommunications, water, and sewage Pier Capacity: 600 pounds per square foot. Water Depth: 20 feet at Mean Low Water Outdoor Storage Area: 80,000 square feet Indoor shops / storage: 10,000 square feet Parking for 75 vehicles Administrative space: 15,000 square feet Security and Highway access Please submit your letters of interest to: Ms. Jean Bretz, Contracting Officer U.S. Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit Providence 300 Metro Center Blvd Warwick, RI 02886
