- TheU.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Information International Associates, Inc. to perform Executive Secretariat duties, under FAR Part 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Pat 13 will be used. See attached Statement of Work below. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must sumbit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to perform the duties. and rationale as to why they should be considered, as decribed above. All interested firms must respond by 1:00 p.m. (EST), September 9, 2006, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, 1 Science.gov Way, Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax Number 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining wheter to conduct a competitive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided by DOE.
