- Description
- Amendment 1. NAICS Code: 926120. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Region 5, 77 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago IL 60604 intends to award a sole source fixed price contract to the Ashtabula City Port Authority (a local government agency), 2943 West 13th Street, Ashtabula Ohio 44004. This proposed contract action is for the payment of a fee for the utilization of the Ashtabula City Port Authority water treatment facility, for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award to the Ashtabula City Port Authority is in accordance with the Great Lakes Legacy Act project agreement dated December 9, 2005. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received will be considered by the government. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be available September 6, 2006. The USEPA will not issue a paper solicitation for this acquisition. No drawing, blueprints or technical documents are available. The proposal opening date is September 7, 2006 with a closing date of October 6, 2006, 10:00 AM CST. Offerors must include their e-mail address because the Government intends to maximize the use of e-mail for all communications concerning this solicitation. The estimated amount of the project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Offerors must also include their USPS mailing address, and a fax number. The solicitation will only be provided electronically, via e-mail, upon request to: anderson.donald@epa.gov.
