*****THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE SYNOPSIS**THE ONLY CHANGE IS THE FSC CODE***** The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Tri Tool Inc 3806 Security Park Drive Rancho Cordova, CA 95742-6916 to purchase three tube Cutter Sets. Each set is a self contained set of tools and accessories designed to cut aircraft hydraulic tubing. The set includes a pneumatic drive, 18? flexible drive, tube cutters (sizes 03, 04, 05, 06, 08, 10, 12, and 16), maintenance tools, and spare cutting wheels. These components are housed in a case. The cutting heads are manufactured from aluminum (cutter housing) and hardened tool steel (cutting wheel and gear train). This tube cutting set is capable of cutting tubing of the following materials: carbon steel, low alloy steel, chrome steel, chrome/molloy alloys, staniless steel, titanium, inconel, copper aluminum and copper nickel alloys. 34X17X7.5 inches; 2.51 CU FT; 35 wt ; Part Number 05-1354; NIIN 01-475-8425; SERD 1834. Items are to be delivered to Lakehurst Naval Air Station Lakehurst, NJ. The Navy intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. This effort will commence within approximately 30 days after the date of subsequent contract.
