Description

This is a sole source announcement/synopsis for commercial items being synopsized followiing a combination of procedures authorized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts, 6, 12, and 13. This announcement shall serve a a combined announcement/synopsis for a sole source procurement which will be awarded on a sole source basis to the State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Natural History Department for work related to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 which authorizes the Department of the Interior to enter into sole source contracts with State agencies to perform duties outlined within the Act. The US Fish and Wildlife Service intendes to negotiate and directly award a sole source procurement to the State of Alaska Department of Natural History and Office of Archaeology to complete site surveys on approximately 12 National Wildlife Refuges within the State of Alaska, USA to determine if sites existing on Refuges managed by the Department of Interior, US Fish and Wildlife Service should be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The resultant contract for commercial items services shall include a Base Year in which payment will be made for services rendered on a quarterly basis following surveys being completed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and the Government does not intend to review or accept any proposals received. Direct negotiations on a sole source basis shall begin approximately 10 days following the psoting of this notice of intent. Award will be made approximately 15 dyas following the psoting of this notice of intent, and following sucessful price negotiation. See Numbered Note 22.
