Description: Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC), 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030 desires to lease approximately 15,307 usable square feet of space within a 10-mile radius from the MEDVAMC. This space will be used as a residential rehabilitation and treatment center for homeless veterans. The space can be provided by new construction or modification of existing space if completed by December 1, 2006. The space should have on-site parking, access to public transportation, and handicapped accessible. The space must have rooms for sleeping, shower and bath facilities, kitchen, dining area, community room, offices, laundry room, and storage space. The lease term is for ten (10) years with five (5) one-year options. The solicitation for offers will be available on August 30, 2006.
