Description

The CDC Division of Bacterial Diseases, Meningitis and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Branch, Meningitis Laboratory in Atlanta, GA. This same instrument is used by the Meningitis and Encephalitis Global Disease Detection project in China, India, and Bangladesh. It is extremely important that the same procedures and instruments be used at all locations in order to compare results. Through market research, this QPCR is the only acceptable system and comes with a notebook computer for easier accessability. This notice announces our intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Stratagene Biocrest Manufacturing in Cedar Creek, TX as the only known supplier of these instruments. All responsible sources may submit a quote for equipment meeting our stated needs to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of the synopsis. All quotes shall be considered by the agency. A determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
