Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N68836-06-T-0159 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the lastest edition of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued on an Total Small Business Set-A-Side basis (see Numbered Note 1), NAICS Code 711219; SPORTS OFFICIALS DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT FOR SPORTS OFFICIATING 1. Specifications A.The officials shall be required to meet the Government?s minimum requirements as follows: 1. All officials shall be experienced in each sport they officiate and have a good working knowledge of the mechanics and rules of each sport. 2.Officials shall be required to furnish their own uniforms and personal equipment. 3.Official?s uniforms must comply with existing National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), National Intramural and Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA), Amateur Softball Association (ASA), and United States Volleyball Association (USVBA) standards. 4.Contractor shall be required to be present for a sporting event at least fifteen (15) minutes prior to start time and shall be required to leave the playing area immediately upon completion. B.Scheduling requirements shall be as follows: 1.The Naval Station Mayport MWR Department Athletic staff shall provide weekly schedules of each sport to the official on Thursday of each week for the following week for all adult sports to be conducted at Naval Station Mayport. The Youth Activities Center shall provide scheduling for all youth sporting events. Games may be scheduled Monday through Sunday. 2.The contractor shall be notified of schedule changes at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance, with the exception of rainouts or acts of God (beyond the control of the Government). The Athletic Office will notify the Head Official of cancellation of games due to inclement weather by 1400 (2:00 pm) on any given day in which sports events have been scheduled. 3.The Athletic Office may offer additional games to the contractor with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice to meet the needs of the program; however, the contractor shall have the option to accept these additional games. 4.If outside contests are cancelled at the site due to weather or other conflict, officials will be paid for games scheduled for 1830 (6:30pm), or earlier, when a 1700 (5:00pm) game is also scheduled for the same field. 5.Sports Officials Require Per Event and Time Schedules. 2.
