Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W912DR-06-T-0113 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-11. This acquisition will be full and open competition; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423210. The business size standard is 100 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7110. T he Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2521. THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE ON THE AGGREGATE. The Government will award a firm-fixed price contract to the offeror who submits the lowest price technically acceptable offer. Products quoted in response to this solicitation shall be the listed equipment or a suitable equivalent. Suitability of substitutions shall be evaluated by comparison with the listed items. All offerors shall submit a product sheet for all substituted items describing the proposed items. The Contracting Officer will evaluate the substitu ted items on the basis of the information furnished on the product sheets for equivalence. The Contracting Officer is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the quote. Unless the offeror clearly indicates in the quote that the product being offered is an equal product, the bidder shall provide the brand name product referenced in this announcement. STATEMENT OF SERVICES: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (COE) wishes to contract for purchase and installation of furniture in order to accommodate tenant requirements at a new facility. The project will require purchase, installation and site support for furniture. The successful bidder shall provide a firm fixed proposal to purchase and install the scheduled furniture at the Government leased facility at 10103 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas. The successful bidder will receive and re view space shell drawings to verify the furniture will fit in the designated spaces in accordance with applicable building, Life Safety, and Accessibility codes. The Successful bidder shall be responsible for: " Preparing detailed furniture installation dr awings " Coordinating accessories, attachments, and transitions to assure the complete installation is suitable for the intended purpose " Meeting with the Government representative on site to review the details of the order and resolve any required coordi nation issues prior to ordering product. " Touring the site to ascertain the present as built condition is or will be ready to receive the product. " Attend Coordination meeting. The Government has also separately contracted for other installation services that shall be occurring concurrent with the furniture installation. The Government will schedule a coordination meeting to permit the suppliers to discuss and coordinate the concurrent use of the site. " Submit supporting documentation indicating that the product to be provided complies with LEED principles. PROJECT SCHEDULE: " Review and comment on shell drawings 2 weeks following contract award. " Procurement and storage of product: There is no on site storage space available prior to the noted installation date. " Site Installation: Shall begin no sooner than 04 December, 2006 and shall be complete and accepted no later than 15 December, 2006.
