- This is combined synopsis/solicitation number W912CL-06-Q-VIPR issued on 18 August 2006 for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W912CL-06-Q-VIPR is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document an d FAR incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-11, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Defense Change Notice (DCN) 20060711. This acquisition is set aside 100% for small bus inesses; the NAICS Code is 334119 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. Army Contracting Agency-The Americas, Mission Support Division has a requirement for Marconi (ViPr) media center/switch component/accessories or equal (if desired, a salient characteristic description can be obtained by contacting the contract specialist listed below) List of Required Items: 001. One (1) each backbone 7.5 ACS Switch, Part Number ASX-1200/7.5AC or equal 002. One (1) each Forethought Enterprise License ASX-1200, Part Number FTA-1200-EN, or equal 003. Three (3) each Switches, redundant pentium 400Mhz with 256 MB DRAM and 32 MB Flash Part Number SCP-P5-400-R, or equal. 004. Two (2) each Single port OC-12c, MM. SC connectors Part Number NM-1/622MMSCE or equal. 005. Six (6) each four port OC-3c MM SC connectors Part Number NM/4/155MMSCE or equal. 006. Two (2) each one port Gigabit Ethernet network module with 500M reach, Multimode GBIC interface for ASX-200BX, ASX-1000, ASX-1200, TNX-210, TNX-1100 and ASX-4000 or ASX-4000M with NMCC, part number NM1/GIGEGBICSX or equal. 007. Six (6) each VIPR Media Center 4000 ATM155MMSC interface, part number VMC-4000-A or equal. 008. One (1) Power Supply, AC, part number PS-1000/AC-B or equal. 009. Three (3) each Processor, switch control, pentium 400 Mhz with 256 MB DRAM, and 32 MB flash (in place of pentium 200 Mhz 64 MB SPC). The preceding items allow real time viewing of video from off-site locations. Delivery: 30 days after receipt of order. Place of delivery for acceptance and FOB point will be JTFB-GTMO G-6, APO, AE. 09360. APPLICABLE PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items (Jan 2006). Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items (Jan 1999), a pplies to this acquisition; the Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors conside red. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers; In descending order of importance: (i) Price, (ii) Technical: Quoted products must be the brand name specified or a government determined equal, (iii) ability to meet a delivery date not to exce ed 30 days after receipt of order.
