Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is hereby issuing this synopsis and solicitation, for one Peterbilt model 386 box truck and one Peterbilt model 387 tractor in accordance with FAR part 12. This synopsis shall be issued as FBI RFQ Number 0216012 and shall be a Firm-Fixed Price, Brand Name or Equal requirement. This synopsis is supplemented by a mandatory customized specification sheet to satisfy the complete FBI requirement that can be requested via facsimile request to [attention] Garland Crosby, at (202) 324-0570 on or before 4:30PM EST. on Wednesday August 24th 2006. The contractor shall deliver the purchased vehicle and tractor to zip code 22135 in Stafford, Virginia. This synopsis document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items. (JUN 2006); 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (SEP 2005) and 52.212 5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items (AUG 2006), Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications (JUN 2006) with its offer. Offerors are encouraged to use the attached Standard Form (SF) 1449 - Solicitation/ Contract/ Order for Commercial Items. Offerors will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (JAN 1999). The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Technical ability to meet requirement, Price, Shipping and Warranty in descending order of importance. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 441229 with a size standard of $5.0 million. Offeror must be registered in accordance with FAR clause 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registry (JUL 2006). All proposals are due by 2:00PM, EST Tuesday August 29th, 2006. All proposals shall be mailed to the Facilities Contracts Unit, FBI headquarters, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
