- It is anticipated that this requirement will be satisfied with a small business set-aside, five-year requirements type contract. Contractor must possess a sufficient understanding of aeronautical weapons and small arms programs so as not to require training in; e.g. XM322, XM323, M134, IDAP, AH-6 M240H, AH-64, MK19, M16, etc. Requirements are for a wide variety of sustainment support for weapons systems which include but are not limited to: developing engineering modifications, provisioning repair parts, conducting system training, developing engineering drawings, submitting engineering change requests, conducting serviceability as required, and conducting component repair. Contractor must possess working knowledge of CCSS, Photo Shop, Word for W indows, and Excel; and use these products to create effective, economical and timely responses to system supportability issues. Offers will be evaluated using tradeoff procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.304. Contractor workspa ce (for 1 or more personnel) will be furnished at the command site on Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. Much of the required effort will be performed at this location. Frequent interaction with local vendors for meetings that are unscheduled or sched uled on extremely short notice to resolve critical issues is required. Contractor must have the ability to immediately respond face-to-face in order to provide technical services, document reports and provide feedback, this requirement limits this procure ment to a 50 mile radius of Rock Island Arsenal (the contractor must be able to respond within 2 hours) in order to be considered for any subsequent contract. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. This solicita tion will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
