- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Beckman Coulter Inc., 11800 SW 147 Avenue, Miami, FL 33116-9015 for a Vi-Cell Cell Viability Analyzer. This product contains an auto-focus Video Imaging System capable of automating trypan blue cell viability measurements. Reagent containment on the system shows level monitoring and it is able to re-analyze images for future study. User-defined de-clustering and circularity measurements are standard as well as operator-selected aspiration and staining/mixing cycles. The viability range is from 0-100% with analysis time of 2.5 minutes or less. The unit is capable of exporting multi-run files to an Excel format. Other specifications: Concentration range: 5 x 10(4) to 1 x 10(7) cells/ml,, range 2 um ? 70 um, minimum sample volume 0.5 mls, auto-focus camera, 1394 x 1040 CCD array, firewire camera, image zoom capability, bioprocess tracking for multiple runs, filled cup dispense tray flagging, out-of-range concentration flagging, 21 CFR Part 11 enabled, and self-contained validated reagent package. CDC believes that this requirement is met by only one provider. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 6.302-2. Only one responsible source and no other sources will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is being issued.
