Description
THIS SPECIAL NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a product qualification opportunity. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure Triaxial Accelerometers as a component of a telemetry system for the Sidewinder Missile project in approximately summer 2007. Product must be qualified before contract award. A minimum of 100 units will be ordered and a maximum of 750 units may be ordered over the five=year period of performance. This procurement was previously a 100% small business set aside. The accelerometers must meet the required form, fit, and function requirements of drawing 639AS9485 Revision G, for a pre-existing missile telemetry fabrication package. This includes the input voltage range of ?15Vdc, internal signal conditioning output of 0 to +5.0Vdc, for full scale detection and output with output impedance of <1 ohm. To qualify a product under drawing 639AS9485G, the contractor shall, at their own expense, perform all qualification tests required and submit four (4) units that meet all the requirements of drawing 639AS9485G; and submit all test data for the qualification units to the procuring activity for evaluation. The contractor must also furnish any additional information requested by the procuring activity. The qualification units shall be manufactured using the same methods, materials, parts, processes, equipment, and procedures proposed for production. Each qualification unit shall meet all specified requirements. Failure of any qualification unit to meet any of the requirements shall be cause for rejection. The contractor will be notified approximately 30 days after the submission of the product and test data, whether the product passed or failed the qualification testing. For a copy of drawing 639AS9485G, send a written request to Kim Matsunaga, Contract Specialist, by electronic mail to Kim.Matsunaga@navy.mil, or by fax at 760-939-8329.
