Description
The MEDCOM Health Care Acquisition Activity, Center for Health Care Contracting, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, intends to award a Single Award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Personnel and Non-Personal Services Task Order Contract to provide Act ive Component (AC) Post-Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA) screenings to all eligible Soldiers who have redeployed home from a combat zone. A team shall, at the minimum, consist of a Health Care Professional (HCP) (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practio ner, Behavior Health Specialist) and administrative support personnel. The HCPs shall report to the medical treatment facility (MTF) director. The HCPs and team members shall abide by MTF rules, regulations and bylaws including the Medical Staff Bylaws, as well as applicable Army Regulations governing medical records, confidentiality and reporting. The primary objective of the PDHRA Team is to augment existing MTF and Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) personnel to conduct PDHRA medical screenings on all eligible Soldiers and proactively identify health concerns that emerge over time following deployments, to help remove potential barriers, and facilitate the opportunity for Service members to have their general and mental health needs and concerns addres sed following deployments. The contractor shall provide personnel and management necessary for multidisciplinary health assessment teams to include travel to Army military installations to conduct the PDHRA screenings for Soldiers who have returned to the ir home station in the preceding 90-180 days. The contractor shall have the technical capability to field traveling teams to multiple sites for extended periods. The contractor service providers shall conduct screenings of up to 12,000 Active Duty US Arm y Soldiers per month. The proposed acquisition is a competitive 8(a) set aside under NAICS code 621999. Prospective offerors are cautioned that if selected for award, they must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Program. The contract period will be for a base period from 1 December 2007 through 30 September 2007 and four 1-year option periods through 30 September 2011. The solicitation is expected to be released on or about 1 September 2006 and will be available for downloading at htt ps://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
