Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District under Request for Quotation W912BU-06-T-0071 is issuing a modification to the previous synopsis issued under Request for Quotation W912BU-06-T-0071 for the purchase and installation of fifteen ( 15) CCTV monitoring system with warranty. The project includes fifteen (15) closed circuit TV cameras, fiber optic, microwave closed circuit TV systems, the voting system, control system, and the DGPS radio equipment. This includes but is not limited to performing work on all five(5) high level bridges, meeting the US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1 (03 November 2003). The systems tie into the Summit Bridge Security system that monitors security on the other brid ges. This contract will link together the various systems to make a unified operational security system. All of these systems must be kept operational at all times with as little interruption as possible to run the safe transit of vessels (1000 foot long and 33 feet deep) through the canal. The offeror must be able to respond to any system failures within twenty four (24) hours. All work is to be performed in a professional and tradesman like manner meeting all required codes but not limited to National E lectric Code, National Security Code and National Electric Manufacturing Association codes. Netversant Corporation is the current contractor who provides service on all the existing communication equipment. A site visit will be held on 22 August 2006 at 9:30a.m. at the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal Project Office 815 Bethel Road; Chesapeake City MD, point of contact is James Tomlin at (410) 885-5621. The solicitation will be available on or about 18 August 2006.
