Description
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions from prospective offerors on the request for quote for CBRN Compliant PPE Kits. CHANGES/CORRECTIONS/ADDITIONS TO SOLICITATION. Item #3 – Change the color of the PPE Kit Bag to read Black Response Date is changed to read: August 16, 2006 Part Number 1. Question? Whose part number is this? Response: Part Number Is Deleted Millennium Mask with approved filter 2. Question: Is the part number for the small mask #10051286 and the CBRN canister #10046570? Response: No. Mask, Small #10007423 Cannister#818263 3. Question: Is the part number for the medium mask #10051287 and the CBRN canister #10046570? Response: No. Mask, Med #10007422 Cannister#818263 4. Question: Is the part number for the large mask #10051288 and the CBRN canister #10046570? Response: No. Mask, Lg #10007424 Cannister#818263 5. Question: Millenium Mask with approved filter. Does this mean CBRN-Approved filter? Response: Masks Are Used In Training Environment Only. Not Necessary To Be CBRN Approved. Tychem Coveralls 6. Question: Is there a specified Tychem material/what type fabric? Response: Part# TF 169 TGY (SZ) 000600 7. Question: What style coverall? Hooded? Yes Elastic Wrists? Yes Booties Or Elastic Ankles? Booties 8. Question: What type seam? Response: Seam Should Be Sewn And Glued/Sealed 9. Question: Is the Tychem coverall the Type F (Lakeland #60151-Grey) coverall with hood, booties and a respirator fit hood? Response: Yes 10. Response: No. It Is The Norcross Black Servus Overboot, 12 Inch Height. PPE Kit Bag 21. Question: What is a PPE kit bag? Response: A PPE kit back is a nylon bag (31” long, 14” wide and 14” high) with carrying handles and shoulder strap(s) used to hold all of the elements of one each PPE Kit, consisting of a Millennium Mask with filter, 1 pair of Tychem coveralls, 1 pair of Rubber Butyl Gloves, 5 pair of Nitrile gloves and 1 pair of chemical protective over boots. 22. Question: Are there any certain requirements for the kit bag besides the color? Response: See response to Questions 21 & 23. 23. Question: Is there any particular size or material? Response: Nylon (900 denier polyester) has proven to be a durable material for repeated uses in training. As described in the response to question 21, this kit bag should allow for the effective storage of all items. 24. Question: What is the configuration of the bag? Response: Bag should have a heavy duty zipper, large internal mesh pocket(s), and an external zippered pocket for storage of small items. 25. Question: What type closure on the bag? Response: Heavy duty zipper capable of multiple openings and closings in a training environment by individuals wearing rubber butyl gloves. 26. Question: Are the kits to be assembled? Response: Kits should be supplied fully assembled by the vendor and provided to the user in a ready to use mode. 27. Question: Does the bag have a handle or shoulder strap? Response: The bag should have external carrying handles and padded shoulder strap(s) NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (11-AUG-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
