Description

General: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), is soliciting proposals for firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the DOI National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation will be available. NO PHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the NBC website. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will also need to be registered at the above listed site. This service is provided as a convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Offerors are responsible for visiting this website periodically. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the Central Contractors Register (CCR) on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. No other notification will be issued. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF. The tentative proposed solicitation issue date is on or about September 1, 2006. Title of Project: Memorial Building Interior Painting Description: This project will consist of all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove mold or mildew and to restore, prepare, and repaint the interior of the symbolic Birthplace Cabin of President Lincoln located at Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site, Hodgenville, Kentucky. In addition, the work will consist of removing and disposing of existing surface film (tint) which has been applied to the windows and doors of the building and to replace by using a UV blocking film, clear color, Llumar N1065, or equivalent. Award shall be made to the responsive and responsible offeror whose offer will be most advantageous to the Government, considering experience and knowledge of historical structures. Type of Procurement: A Firm-Fixed contract is anticipated to be awarded. Estimated price range: $25,000.00 - $100,000.00. The NAICS code is 238320. The size standard is $12 million. This solicitation will be a set aside for Small Business.
