- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Steris Corporation, 5960 Heisley Rd, Mentor, OH for the purchase of annual maintenance for steam sterilizers. Steris is the original equipment manufacture and is the only source that can meet the government's requirement because they hold the proprietary rights to the equipment. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is av ailable and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Go vernment. If no affirmative written response is received , the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is soley within the discretion of the Governm ent.
