- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F2A3C56207A100 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) This solicitation is sole source to Motorola for the following reasons: Currently the Communications Squadron posses Motorola radios and the only certified training for the use and maintenance of these radios is provided by the manufacturer Motorola. Because of the number of students in need of training, it is more cost benificial to bring the trainer here then to send each student TDY for this training. The associated NAICS code is 611430, and size standard is $6.5 mil. (v) This requirement consists of the following line items for training: 0001) Quantar base training, 0002) ASTRO XTS 5000 Portable radio & Astro XTL 5000 Mobile radio training, 0003) Astro Spectra Plus Mobile Radio Training. Specifics are included in proposal #WLS 060224. (vii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors and Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (viii) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 6.302-l(b)(4)). This is a sole source acquisition. The contractor certifies that it can meet the delivery date by submitting a quotation. (viiii) The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The contractor shall be registered in the Online Representations and Certifications Application ? ORCA ? at http://orca.bpn.gov/. (x) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition Paragraph (o) is changed to read: The contractor shall provide all standard commercial warranties to the government. (xi) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses identified at paragraph b of FAR 52.212-5 are considered checked and are applicable to this acquisition: (13-19), (24), (29), (c1) and (c2). (xii) Award can only be made to contractors registered in the Central Contractor Registration web page, http://www.ccr.gov. (xiii) Commerce Business Daily numbered note 1 applies to this acquisition.
