- The John D Dingell Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Room B4213, Detroit, MI 48201 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Olympus America Inc, 3500 Center Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-0610. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of a Evis Exera II Video processor and Evis Exera II Xenon Light source to be used in Respirtory caree/Gastroenterology to update the equipment on station. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address: http://www.gover/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposal contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretioin of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determing whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be submitted no later than August 17, 2006 at 12:00N to the contracting officer, Diane Foster, at the address above.
