Description
The proposed acquisition listed herein is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has a requirement for the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB)to assist MCHB?s Division of Services for Children with Special Health Needs (DSCSHN) to develop and articulate an action plan for facilitating the re-design of Interprofessional Education and Practice for the next five years in keeping with the mission of the President?s New Freedom Initiative to break down barriers to community living for persons with disabilities. Using the 2003 Workforce Development paper to implement the President?s New Freedom Initiative with a focus on family-centered and community-based care for children with special health care needs and their families, the contractor shall plan and execute two major tasks: 1) Review the mission and past activities/products of the National Commission on Leadership in Interprofessional Education (NCLIE) and other national interprofessional education and practice initiatives; and 2) Develop three to five year action plan for the DSCSHN to work with MCHB and its Federal and private funding partners in developing the kinds of interprofessional training programs needed to implement family-centered and community-based service systems for children with special health needs and their families. The plan shall include the identification of a framework, criteria, and model programs for continuing education and training that implements the President?s New Freedom Initiative and the 2003 Workforce Development paper recommendations. The anticipated period of performance is for twelve (12) months from the effective date of contract award. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 541990. THE REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) IS ATTACHED TO THIS WEB POSTING. ALL QUESTIONS about this requirement must be submitted by email to d?obrien@hrsa.gov referencing solicitation number 06-S240-0512-KAL, by no later than 1:00 p.m. local prevailing time on August 25, 2006. Responses to questions will be posted at this site. THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS WILL BE ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2006 NO LATER THAN 2:00 PM LOCAL PREVAILING TIME.
