- Description
- 1. It is the intent of this effort to train up to 120 Iraqi fire fighters to the Rescue Technician and Incident Commander levels. USAR equipment shall be purchased and utilized to accomplish heavy rescue training. Title to the equipment will then be vested in the Iraq Civil Defense Directorate, which will take possession of all equipment. 2. Identified students receiving training, shall meet the contractors minimum qualification standards for attendance in the class prior to class attendance. The minimum qualifications as specified in the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC); National Professional Qualifications Board (Pro-Board); National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or a recognized accredited agency as approved by the CPATT MOI-TT Civil Defense Advisors shall be included in the proposal and become a part of the resultant contract. 3. Students shall be provided an accredited certificate of training issued by one of the following agencies: International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC); National Professional Qualifications Board (Pro-Board); National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or a recognized accredited agency as approved by the CPATT MOI-TT Civil Defense Advisors. 4. Students shall be provided training in an academy type atmosphere. Training shall incorporate classroom and practical skills sessions. The training should test cognitive skills regarding the decision making process in a stressed and non-stressed environment. Training shall include use of specialized equipment and students shall show demonstrated knowledge through hands-on application. Students shall have the thorough understanding of technical rescue and incident command structure. 5. Upon completion of the course, technical rescue equipment will be staged within Iraq and dedicated solely to national disaster response.
