Description
Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Tracked Suspension System 1.0 Introduction The mission of the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) is to provide the support required to enable our war fighters to succeed in their national defense mission. We have recently received a directive and funds to establish a range control center and are in the process of highering personnel to manage the center. A small economical utility All Terrain Vehicle capable of operating on dirt roads and over snow is required, to support these personnel. 2.0 Scope The scope of this order is to provide the necessary equipment to enable range control personnel to travel in the rugged often snow covered terrain found at the MCMWTC the Tracked Suspension System must be at least 11 inches wide and a minimum of 36 inches in length (contacting the ground surface) and be capable of carrying up to 3000 lbs. In order to meet the over the snow requirement a Tracked Suspension System compatible with a Utility ATV (see Polaris Ranger specs encl 1). Additional Tracked suspension System specifications are included in encl 2. 3.0 Statement of Work Will provide the Marine Corps with the following QTY: (4) tracks suspension systems are required for each ATV (6) for a total of 24 track systems. It is required to meet the following minimum requipments: 1. Model Ultra-Ride a. Rubber Torsion Anti torque system b. 392 lbs at 98 each assembly weight c. Capable to attaching to a four wheel Drive Utility ATV d. 3500lbs Recommended Max Gross Weight e. SCS System for internal Suspension f. 11? trach tread width g. 1 inch lugs (All-Terrrain Self Cleaning ) tread style h. Rubber with internal composite rods/cords track material i. Able to operate between -38 Degrees to +130 Degrees F j. Needs to have approx 4? ground clearance k. Ground Contact Length i. Hard Surface: 24? min ii. Soft Surface: 36? max l. ? PSI Ground Presssure m. 13 7/8 Sprocket Diameter n. 1/3 increase in gear reduction o. 8 Wheels per unit with Shielded & Sealed Bearing p. Wheels made of UHMW & Rubber q. SCS SYSTEM (Shape Changing Suspension) interanal suspension Natural aluminum- standard Color 4.0 Points of Contact: a.
