Description

Desc: 1005-01-490-9698, Part Number 12993770 The item to procure, M249 Front Rail Kit (1005-01-490-9698) consists of two parts: an accessory rail ass'y machined from aluminum alloy 7075-t73 or 7075-t7351 with a hard anodic coating and lusterless (fla t) black paint. The second part is a pistol grip forward ass'y consisting of a two part plastic pistol grip, thumb screw, belleville spring, crown nut, pistol grip plate and grabber. This will be a 5-year IDIQ with a minimum guaranteed quantity of 8,000 each and a contract maximum of 70,500 each, Front Rail Kit. FOB is destination. For use on the M249 machine gun. Estimated issue date is August 28, 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy of the solicitation may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/solinfo/index.htm. CAUTION: this solicit ation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically acc ess the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonrespo nsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY06 requirement. This solicitation incorporates a technical data package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the in ternet. This TDP contains proprietary information. Therefore, vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. Signed copies of the Non-Dis closure Agreement must be completed and submitted to the fax number or email address provided in section A of the solicitation before a TDP will be mailed. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE code (if available), company name, point of contact, street address, city, state, zip code, and telephone number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet and the Non-Disclosure Agreement has been executed. Numbered Note 26 applies.
