Description
MacDill AFB, FL has a requirement for one aluminum pedestrian bridge as outlined below: one aluminum pedestrian bridge according to the following specifications and attached drawings/General: Bridge shall conform to the current edition of the Aluminum Association Specification for Aluminum Structures./Bridge Dimensions:Clear span distance: 30 ft 0 inches, Clear inside width: 4 ft 0 inches./Engineering: Live Load Capacity: Bridge shall be designed for an evenly distributed live load of 85 pounds per square foot./Bridge Geometry: Bridge may have a camber at the center of the span which will equal 2.5% 0f the total span. Bridge shall have a single diagonal brace per panel./Materials: Bridge shall be constructed using 6000 series aluminum alloy with 6061-T6 for primary structural components; All aluminum welding shall be done using 5356 series aluminum filler wire and in accordance with the ANSI/AWS D1.2-97 GMAW process; Aluminum decking shall be 1.5 inches x 6 inches or 1.5 inches x 8 inches triple I beam slip-resistant self-mating extruded aluminum planks with no gaps. Minimum walking surface coefficient of friction shall be 0.93; Attachments: rub strip and kick plate./Finish: Finish shall be natural aluminum mill finish./Foundation Attachment:Provide a mounting flange at each corner with two slots for attachment hardware./ Please contact the POC for pictures and a design drawing. Delivery will be to MacDill Air Force Base, FL and no installation is required. This is combined synopsis/solicitation, number F2V3F96209A100, for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-10, Effective 28 Jul 2006 and Fac 2005-11 , Effective 05 Jun 2006 & Class Deviation 2005-o0001. The following clauses are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition and can be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil.: FAR 52.212-1 -- Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, FAR provision 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items with Addendum to include in paragraph (a) the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation which will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) price offered; and (2) Technical capability of equipment offered; in descending order of importance. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items. Additionally a Ombudsman has been assigned to this solicitation and any subsequent award, see AFFARS 5352.201-9101. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 332312, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small businesses.
