Description

The Air Armament Center, 408th Armament Systems Group, Eglin AFB, FL, is contemplating issuing a purchase order to Kaman Dayron, Inc. to convert 70 GFM FMU-143G/B Fuzes into FMU-143N/B Fuzes and produce six (6) FMU-143 Sled test Fuzes. Other than GFM, the contractor shall provide all material required to convert the FMU-143G/B Fuzes into FMU-143 N/B Fuzes. The contractor shall remove specific parts, test the fuze electronics, reassemble the fuze, test the reassembled fuze, replace the Decal and Identification Plate, re-mark the cans, repackage, and ship the fuzes. Delivery is NLT 1 Feb 07 and early shipment is authorized. For the six FMU-143 Sled Test Fuzes, the contractor shall provide all materials for production other than the GFM Booster Pellets and PA60 Ammo Containers. The contractor shall test the fuze electronics prior to final assembly. The contractor shall package the fuzes one per can and ship. Delivery is NLT 1 Feb 07 and early shipment is authorized. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The NAICS Code/Size Standard is 332995/500 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. Interested sources should contact Grisselle Nusimow, (850) 883-3214. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Matters of a routine nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman but rather to the Contracting Officer or Program Manager.
