- The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed price contract for 26 pioneer plasma t.v?s. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F1T1DG6201A100 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. This notice is unrestricted and is accessible to full and open competition. The associated NAICS code is 334310 and small business size standard is 750. The requirement consists of the following items: CLIN 0001: Quantity 26 Monitor - Pioneer Elite 50" 1080P Plasma Monitor (Pioneer Part # PRO-FHD1) CLIN 0002: SHIPPING-STANDARD GROUND SHIPPING:.Offerors shall provide a brand name. Items are to be delivered FOB destination to 96 CG/SCWD, 201 W. EGLIN BLVD BLDG 380 Suite 124, Eglin AFB, FL 32542 for inspection and acceptance by an authorized government official. After conducting a thorough, systematic examination of currently available products to meet our technical requirements, the Pioneer brand has been selected. In order to determIne the technically acceptable products to satisfy our large screen video display needs, we evaluated the following manufacturers: Sharp, Samsung, Panasonic, Pioneer, and Sony and concluded that Pioneer Electronics offers the best value to the Government. Some critical factors considered in our technical evaluation are: integration and compatibility with existing hardware and software, standard configuration interface, interoperability, reliability, form factors, and technical support. Other important but secondary factors include: hardware compatibility with existing equipment and in-house technical knowledge and experience with the Pioneer product line. The government Intends to acquire the required Pioneer product from the vendor that offers the best value to the Government. b. The Pioneer plasma displays to be purchased provide a vital part of the Freeman Computer Sciences Center?s large screen display needs to support DT&E and OT&E at AAC. This exact item is needed to provide required display for critical weapon systems under test. c. The items to be purchased are twenty-six Pioneer 50? Elite PRO-FHDI Plasma displays. These items are required to display various high resolution video signals and computer images within the Freeman Computer Sciences Center. There are no other plasma dIsplays available with this high native resolution and scan rate that will meet our in-house requirements. These Pioneer 50? Elite PRO-FHDI Plasma displays are the only available plasmas of their kind that will satisfy DT&E and OT&E test program and system under test compatibility requirements, Minimum component capabilities required include: 1. RGB BNC input 2. l080p native resolution 3. Multiple inputs (Dvi, HDMI, Composite etc) 4. Built in speakers
