Description

The South Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229-4404, IAW 6.302-1, intends to negotiate sole source with The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to purchase blood and blood components as a secondary supplier for times when our primary supplier can not meet our needs. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Products must be delivered to our Blood Bank within thirty minutes, one hour at the absolute latest. The center is fully accredited. Offeror must be accredited member of AABB and registered and/or licensed with the Food and Drug Administration. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation/request for offerors. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties have until August 17, 2006, 4:30 PM CST to submit their qualifications and capabilities in writing. Such qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
