Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Mid-Continent Ecology Division, 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, Minnesota, requires Loading Dock improvements. The General Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, hardware, and documentation necessary to complete the project. The project consists of (1) Removal of Existing Concrete Loading Dock slab, Portions of Existing CMU Foundation Wall, Sidewalks and Stairs on Grade, Guardrails and Dock Accessories, (2) Installation of New Concrete Loading Dock and Walkway and Metal Stairs, Including Guardrails and Handrails. Installation of New Dock Accessories. Provide New Paving. Seed or Sod Areas Disturbed during Construction. All Reinforcing Steel to be Corrosion Resistant by MMFX Steel Corporation or Approved Equal. (3) No Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Site Utility Work is Required. This project also has Alternates (A1) Provide Pervious Pavers and Concrete Curbs in Lieu of Concrete Sidewalk, (A2) Patch Area of Removed Asphalt at Dock Edge in Lieu of Compacted Granular Backfill. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Contract award will be made using best value methodology. Two evaluation factors will be used: Past Performance and Price. The evaluation factors will be approximately equal in importance. The anticipated contract performance period is 60 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price of the work is between $25,000 and $100,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to be eligible for contract award. See the website www.ccr.gov for information about registration. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, and site visit information, will be released through the internet on the Fedbizopps website. The anticipated solicitation release date is approximately 15 calendar days after the electronic posting date of this notice. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
