Description

NAICS Code 517510. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Support DES (DES) Contracting Services (DES-A), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Comcast under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to provide 351 cable drops of Basic Cable Service for use at the McNamara Complex building located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Headquarters at contract award through one year. This notice is not a request for quotations. Comcast is the only known contractor with the proprietary rights to provide the Comcast Basic Cable Services. This notice will be displayed until 4:00 PM EST Wednesday August 16, 2006. A determination not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 517510. The Point of Contact for this requirement is Mr. Robert E.
