Description

This is the synopsis for an upcoming solicitation for janitorial and grounds maintenance and related services at the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, 880 Front Street and the Jacob Weinberger U.S. Courthouse, 325 West F Street in downtown San Diego. The solicitation is 8(a) competitve set aside. The contract period of performance will be one (1) base year with four(4) one-year option periods. The North American Industrual Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720 with a small business size standard of 15,000,000.00. The requirement will be a firm fixed price, performance based contract in accordance with FAR subpart 37.6. The solicitation will be posted on the FedbizOpps on or about August 14, 2006. A pre-proposal conference/site-visit schedule will be noted in the solicitation and is anticipated to be held on or about August 29, 2006. Potential offerors will be encouraged to attend the pre-proposal conference and visit the site to familiarize themselves with the general and specific conditions of the buildings. Successful offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base at www.ccr.gov per FAR 52.204-7. Successful Offeror must also submit data to the Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov, per FAR 52.204-8. Estimated value of this acquisition is $1 Mil. Proposal due date will be noted in the solicitation. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring FedBizOpps to determine exact dates, and to respond to any amendments to the solicitation.
