Description
NAICS Code: 5417 Title: Climate Change Science Program Synthesis Assessment Product 4.6: Analysis of the Effects of Global Change on Human Health and Welfare and Human Systems. Response Date: 2:00 p.m. on August 23, 2006 Eastern Standard Time (Washington, D.C.) THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT A RFQ Notice of intent to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedure to Kristie L. Ebi, Ph. D., M.P.H., for services to support Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Global Change Research Program in the preparation of Synthesis and Assessment Product 4.6 (SAP 4.6). SAP 4.6 addresses the human response to global change in three distinct, but related areas: (1) human health, (2) human welfare, and (3) human settlements. This product will focus on examining the vulnerability of human health and socioeconomic systems to global change. This order provides support in the preparation, review, and completion of SAP 4.6. The period of performance will be August 31, 2006 to December 31, 2008. A determination not to compete this proposed purchase order has been made because Kristie L. Ebi, Ph D., M.P.H., has a unique set of capabilities and possesses the expert knowledge of the strategic goals associated with the Climate Change Science Program Synthesis and Assessment Products. Dr. Ebi is qualified as a senior investigator with extensive publications and noteworthy involvement in national and international assessments of the effects of global change on human health. This is not a request for quotation. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to U.S. EPA, Stacey Wolejko (3803R) 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20460, or to facsimile number (202) 565-2560, or sent by email to wolejko.stacey@epa.gov. Response to this notice must be submitted within fifteen (15) days after this electronic posting. Consideration of the responses is solely within discretion of the Government, generally for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competive procurement. Please include your number, point of contact, address area code, telephone number, and facsimile number. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
