Description

The National Park Service, Gulf Islands National Seashore, has a requirement for a firm, fixed-price construction contract for the replacement of Boat Lift Systems at Davis Bayou Area, Horn Island and West Ship Island. The islands are about 10 miles offshore and can be reached only by boat. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work consists of, but not limited to: all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary for the removal and disposal of six (6) existing Boat Lift systems, and to furnish and install four (4) 10,000 lbs. custom hanging Boat Lift systems and two (2) 6,000 lbs. custom roof mount Boat Lift systems. MAGNITUDEOF PROJECT: The estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Contract duration is 60 days from "Notice to Proceed". NOTICE TO POTENTIAL BIDDERS: This proposed procurement is unrestricted, pursuant to FAR Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS Code is 238990, and the Size Standard is $13.0 million. The acquisition will be conducted in accordance with the procedures in FAR 13 and any appropriate combination of the procedures in Parts 14, 15, 35, or 36. PUBLICIZING AND RESPONSE TIME: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotation and released to the public on or about August 22, 2006. You may access the solicitation via the Internet from Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System (IDEAS) Electronic Commerce (EC) web site: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Solicitation documents will be in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF formats. From the Business Opportunities Page, you can search for a specific or all documents. THIS ELECTRONIC POSTING REPRESENTS THE ONLY FORMAL OFFERING. A PAPER COPY OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. To submit a quote, view a directed document, subscribe to a particular Bidder's Mailing List or receive an award via IDEAS Electronic Commerce, prospective vendors must have an "active" Central Contractor Registry (CCR) record, and sign-in the NBC website using DUNS number and MPIN.
