Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Lionville Systems of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, for the purchase of 51 medication carts, to be implemented into the existing medication cart system in use at the Hines VA Medical Center, Hines IL. Of the fifty-one (51) medication carts, to be purchased, thirty-nine (39) each will be manufacture model 600 with options, twelve (12) each will be manufacture model 800 with options, three (3) each transfer carts with doors and brakes, to include twenty-six (26) each transfer cart keys. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339115. To the best of our knowledge, Lionville Systems of Coatesville, Pennsylvania is the only source that provides a system which includes motion sensor, security latching mechanisms that pulls in and locks patient drawers left open up to half inch at time of relock, to include keypad entry, with lock alert and relocking features. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Lionville Systems of Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
