Description: See Numbered Note 22 for this action. The U.S. Military intends to award a sole source contract to Appian Corporation to provide services to enhance the Army's Leader Development Portfolio (LDP), online Self-Development System and associated applica tions. Appian Corporation is the software developer for Army Knowledge Online (AKO) and has developed the LDP base system for the Army. For security reasons Appian Corporation is currently the only authorized software contractor to develop and implement code related to the AKO portal and its components, which includes user privileges, common access card authentication and account creation and authentication.
