Description

The project consists of road decommissioning by recontouring on the Clearwater Ranger District. This work will take place on approximately 15 miles of road. Work includes drainage improvements, subgrade scarification, road recontouring, culvert removal, seeding, hand straw mulching, and miscellaneous related work. The road to be obliterated include 221J, 1112B, 1112B1, 1112C1, 1112C2, 1112C4, 9341, 9443, 9443A, 76254, 76254A, 76255, 76255A, 76255A1, 76255A4, 76401, 76402, 76407, 76421, 76424, 76680, 76738, 103174. Project Location: From Grangeville Idaho follow County Road #17, Mount Idaho Grade, to the junction with the Grangeville-Salmon Road (#221). Follow #221 for approximately 7.1 miles. The majority of roads to be decommissioned are located either at various points alond Road #221 or on other roads easily accessible from Road #221. The remainder of the roads to be decommissioned can be accessed by following State Highway 95 south from Grangeville approximately 2.6 miles to the junction with County Road #95, Old White Bird Hill Road. Follow County Road #95 approximately 5 miles to the junction with Road #1112. Road #1112 provides access to all roads being decommissioned in this area of the project. Contract Completion Date: September 30, 2007
