- Description
- The US Army C-E LCMC, Acquisition Center Washington intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Optical Scientific, Inc., Gaithersburg, MD 20877, a firm fixed price purchase order for the delivery of one Optical Anemometer DSP based (LOA-005-AR, ) two LOA Tripods (1506-106-1,) two Adjustment Mounts (1506-106,) one Qwik collect software system, one Test cable for a laptop (RS-232,) two Modems (M7-0649-00,) and installation, training, and supervision. The Optical Anemometer and accessories will prov ide acurate and reliable scintillation data to a meterological network. Through the procurement of a scintillometer that is compatible off-the-shelf with the existing data acquistion system, the NVESD meterological lab will be able to continue their work w ithout any interruptions. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1); Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements. Nevertheless, all responsible sources that provide supporting data to demonstrate they can successfully provide the required equipment may submit a quote to be considered (Note 22.) All responses should be received via email within 10 calendar days of the date of this notice. Delivery will be FOB Destination: NVESD, Warehouse, Bldg 335, 5961 Putnam Road, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060. The delivery schedule shall be 60 days from award date. The anticipated award date is 20 days from the date of this notice. Award will be made IAW Simplified Acquisition Pr ocedures. A written solicitation will not be issued.
